KINGSDOWN WATER – FROM SOURCE TO BOTTLE

Kingsdown_Bottling_Plant

Kingsdown Spring Water starts life deep within the protected chalk aquifer of the North Downs. It is the chalk of the North Downs which provides the key to Kingsdown’s purity and quality. By acting as a huge natural filter it removes all impurities whilst ensuring that valuable trace elements are absorbed. The result is pure clean tasting spring water at its very best.

We tap into the aquifer and bring the spring water to the surface and into Kingsdown’s production hall. Kingsdown Spring Water then passes through an ultra fine filtration system and either flows direct into the filler for Kingsdown Still Spring Water or via the carbonator for fine bubble Kingsdown Sparkling Spring Water. Meanwhile clear glass bottles are automatically loaded onto the start of the production line passing through a high pressure rinsing system before making their way into the filler.

Bottles ranging from 330ml to 1ltr sizes are filled and capped before continuing along the conveyor system and into the labeller where self adhesive labels are precision applied to produce fully dressed and finished bottles of Kingsdown Water.

The next stage of the Kingsdown high speed production line applies best before date codes before bottles are grouped in 12s or 24s and packed on cardboard pads wrapped in film by the fully automatic multi packer.

Cases of Kingsdown Water are then stacked on pallets and wrapped ready for dispatch to customers all across the United Kingdom.
