First off a big apology to anyone who tried to order on Thursday 11th June. Our website crashed for most of the day with issues continuing into Friday morning, all caused by weight of orders and domain hosting issues. Anyway all sorted now and if you did try to order on Thursday or Friday and were met by an unfriendly blank screen please email online@kingsdownwater.co.uk and we’ll send you a code which will give you 10% off your next order.
With restaurants and pubs due to reopen on 4th July pressure is intensifying on the government to reduce the 2m social distancing requirement to 1m. We’re expecting an announcement within the next few days and are very much hoping this change comes in as without it the overwhelming majority of outlets will not be able to operate as viable businesses. With widescale testing and tracing underway, and the leisure industry bringing in a range of other measures including more regular and enhanced cleaning regimes and staff wearing face masks, we think that 1m social distancing will work, provided of course that infection rates continue to fall.
One of the positives we’ve taken from these very challenging times has been the opportunity to improve our online home delivery offering. It’s been a steep learning curve and a lot of fun.
